Dr. Aisha Morris Moultry, Pharm.D., Ph.D., M.S., is an experienced administrator,
educator, and researcher in higher education with a strong record of student success,
program development, and institutional advancement. With over 20 years of experience
in academia, she has held key leadership roles overseeing student recruitment, retention,
and academic programming while securing and administering grants to support students.
As faculty in the in the College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences at Texas Southern University, Dr. Moultry previously served as Interim Assistant Dean for Student Services, where she enhanced student services and secured funding grants from the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board for student programming. She later became the Associate Dean of Clinical and Administrative Services, leading a 60,000-square-foot building renovation and establishing an Interdisciplinary Health Professions Simulation Center. She also served as the Associate Dean of Academic Affairs, overseeing academic programs, accreditation, establishing student retention programming, supporting faculty, and securing a $3.25 million HRSA grant for student scholarships. Additionally, she served as the Interim Assistant Dean of Practice Programs during a pandemic to ensure consistent placement of students while developing flexible practices for students during this period.
In 2022, Dr. Moultry was appointed Interim Dean/Executive Director of the newly established College of Transdisciplinary Studies, where she led the launch of 12 degree programs designed for non-traditional students with some college and no degree. In this role, she operationalized a new college which has resulted in close to 350 students earning degrees in a three-year period and grew the enrollment from seven in its first semester to 185 in the fall 2025 semester.
Through her leadership, Dr. Moultry has implemented strategies to improve student recruitment, retention, and degree completion while securing vital funding to support these initiatives. Her work continues to shape academic opportunities for diverse student populations, fostering innovation and success in higher education.
